The current round of recruitment of guides for GUIDE has been completed. If you want to get involved, the team at the Central Contact Point would be happy to get in touch with you for the future. 

Voluntary work that strengthens the counselling network at the university within the framework of GUIDE through low threshold contact options is supported here. Additionally, training and supervision and peer-consulting formats are provided to the people who are involved in this work.

Supervision offer

Guides for GUIDE can contact the Central Contact Point, UNIFY, on a weekly basis if they have any questions or concerns. 

Every Wednesday between 12 noon and 1 p.m., a quarter of an hour of counselling is available. Please book in advance by email:  guide.unify@uni-heidelberg.de. There is the possibility of follow-up appointments for extended discussions.

Peer consulting

The offer of peer consulting in the format of collegial counselling takes place regularly every quarter. The first dates have already been set for:

  • Thursday, 28.11.24 from 12:00 to 14:30
  • Monday, 09.12.24 from 12:00 to 14:30

Location: Large seminar room on the ground floor, Voßstraße 5, Building 4211, 69115 Heidelberg

Training dates

A joint orientation and several training sessions for guides for GUIDE took place in October 2024. In addition to mandatory modules in various formats covering processes at Heidelberg University (basic module), law (General Equal Treatment Act and protection against discrimination, AGG), and GUIDE's basics of conversation, guides for GUIDE also had the opportunity to participate in other beneficial offerings based on their interests, such as ‘Power Relations and (Anti-)Discrimination.’

Kick-off for the joint start with the basic module ‚Processes and procedures at Heidelberg University‘ took place in the Marsiliusarkaden.

ONLINE: ‘General Equal Treatment Act and Protection against Discrimination’ with RA Dr. Vanessa Adam, Stabsstelle Hochschularbeitsrecht und Leiterin der Personalabteilung im Deutschen Hochschulverband.
